Day 1: Arrival and Welcome Dinner

Dinner: Enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel or a local restaurant, savouring traditional Gambian specialities such as domoda (peanut stew) or benachin (one-pot rice dish).

Day 2: Banjul City and Surroundings

Albert Market: Stroll through Albert Market to experience vibrant local life, fresh produce, textiles, and handmade crafts.

Kachikally Crocodile Pool (Bakau): Travel to the Kachikally Crocodile Pool, a sacred site where you can learn about local spirituality and potentially see crocodiles up close in a controlled setting. Evening/Night:

Dinner: Enjoy dinner at your hotel or a nearby restaurant

Sunset at the Beach: Return to your hotel or choose a scenic beach bar to watch the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 3: Roots Heritage Tour (Juffureh & Kunta Kinteh Island)

Morning:

Breakfast: Enjoy an early breakfast, then depart for Juffureh/Albreda.

Drive to Juffureh & Albreda: Depart Banjul, heading upriver toward Juffureh. Soak in scenic views of rural Gambia along the way and learn about the region's history from your guide.

Historical Exploration: Arrive in Juffureh, the ancestral village of Kunta Kinteh (famed in Alex Haley's "Roots"). Visit the local museum to learn about the impact of the transatlantic slave trade on this region.

Afternoon:

Lunch: Savour tasting dishes or fresh grilled fish near the riverside.

Kunta Kinteh Island (James Island): Explore the museum on Kunta Kinteh Island and nearby historic sites.

Journey Back to Base: Depart Juffureh and travel back to the hotel/accommodation.

Day 4: Beach Relaxation

Afternoon:

Bijilo Forest Park (Monkey Park): A shorter excursion closer to the coast, known for green vervet and red colobus monkeys, plus coastal bird species.

Day 6: City Exploration and Departure
