Day 1: Arrival & City Exploration

Morning:

Arrival in Accra: Upon landing at Kotoka International Airport, you'll be greeted by an Indigo Adventures representative and transferred to your accommodation in Accra.

Afternoon:

Lunch at the Hotel: Enjoy a leisurely lunch at your hotel, sampling local Ghanaian cuisine.

Independence Square (Black Star Square): Begin with a visit to the landmark that celebrates Ghana's independence.

Osu Neighbourhood: Explore the part of the city known for its lively shops, cafés, and local vendors. 

Evening/Night:

Dinner: Enjoy a welcome dinner at your hotel or a local restaurant, savouring Ghanaian specialities like jollof rice, fried plantains, and grilled tilapia. 

Day 2: Cape Coast & Kakum National Park

Morning:

Breakfast: Enjoy an early breakfast at the accommodation.

Depart for Cape Coast: Enjoy scenic views of the Gulf of Guinea coastline and rural life along the way.

Cape Coast Castle Tour: Upon arrival, visit the Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn about Ghana's colonial history and the transatlantic slave trade through a guided tour of the castle and its dungeons.

Afternoon:

Lunch at the Hotel: Savour a local lunch in Cape Coast or on the road to Kakum National Park.

Kakum National Park: At Kakum, embark on the canopy walkway, a series of suspended bridges offering panoramic views of the rainforest. Keep an eye out for birds and other wildlife. Explore the park's nature trails and visitor centre to learn about Ghana's rainforest ecosystems.

Evening/Night:

Overnight Stay: Return for an overnight stay in Cape Coast.

Dinner: Enjoy dinner at your hotel or a nearby restaurant. 

Day 3: Elmina Castle and Departure

Morning:

Breakfast: Breakfast at the accommodation.

Elmina Castle: Visit Elmina Castle, a historic fortress with striking white-washed walls. Discover its role in colonial history and the Gold Coast trade. If time permits, stroll through Elmina's fishing harbour to observe the colourful pirogues and local fishing culture.

Afternoon:

Lunch: Enjoy a farewell lunch at a recommended local spot en route to Accra. 

Leisure Time: Free time to explore any remaining corners of Accra or relax before travelling.

Evening:

Departure: Transfer to Kotoka International Airport for your departure.
