Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation in Kigali

Arrival in Kigali: Upon landing at Kigali International Airport, you'll be greeted by an Indigo Adventures representative and transferred to your accommodation in Kigali.

Afternoon:

Lunch at the Hotel: Enjoy a leisurely lunch at your hotel, sampling local Rwandan cuisine.

Visit to Nyandungu Urban Wetland Eco-Tourism Park: After lunch, take a gentle stroll through the Nyandungu Urban Wetland Eco-Tourism Park. This 120-hectare park offers serene walking paths, ornamental ponds, and a medicinal plant garden, providing a peaceful introduction to Rwanda's natural beauty.

Evening/Night:

Welcome Dinner: Enjoy a traditional Rwandan meal at the hotel or a local restaurant, where you will be introduced to the country's rich culinary heritage.

Day 2: Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund & Gorilla Guardians Village

Morning:

Transfer to Volcanoes National Park: Depart early for a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, home to the majestic mountain gorillas. The journey offers views of Rwanda's rolling hills and lush landscapes.

Breakfast: Breakfast will be had en route or upon arrival.

Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund: Upon arrival, start with an educational visit to the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund Campus near Volcanoes National Park. Explore interactive exhibits on gorilla conservation, and learn about Dian Fossey's pioneering work.

Afternoon:

Lunch: Enjoy a packed lunch provided by your Indigo representative, surrounded by the park's tranquil environment.

Visit to Gorilla Guardians Village: Immerse yourself in Rwandan culture by visiting the Gorilla Guardians Village, where you can engage with local communities, learn traditional dances, and understand Rwanda's rich heritage.

Evening/Night:

Overnight Stay: Relax at your lodge nestled in the foothills of the Virunga volcanoes. Dinner will be provided at the hotel.

Day 3: Return to Kigali City and Departure

Morning:

Return to Kigali City: After breakfast, travel back to Kigali and enjoy a tour of part of the city before departure.

Visit to Kimironko Market: Experience the vibrant atmosphere of Kigali's largest market, where you can shop for local crafts, fabrics, etc.

Afternoon:

Lunch at a Local Café: Enjoy lunch at the hotel or a local café, where you can sample some of Rwanda's renowned coffee.

Visit to Kigali Genocide Memorial: After breakfast, start the day with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a poignant reminder of Rwanda's past, honouring the victims of the 1994 genocide and educating visitors about the country's history.

Tour of Inema Arts Centre: Explore the Inema Arts Centre, a hub for contemporary Rwandan art that showcases works from local artists and offers insights into Rwanda's burgeoning art scene.

Evening:

Departure: Transfer to Kigali International Airport for your departure.
